Bi-Election Date Set

Nominations of candidates for election to council of the Municipality of L'Anse-au-Loup will be received between the hours of 8:00 am and 8:00 pm on Monday, January 8, 2007.
Nominations will be in writing and will include the name and civic address of the candidate and shall be signed by the Proposer and Seconder.
To qualify as a candidate for election to council a nominee must be:
1. A Canadian Citizen of the full age of 18 years
2. A Resident of the municipality for at least 30 days immediately prior to the date set for the nomination period.
3. Free of debt to the council for any arrears of taxes or other charges.
4 Not otherwise disqualified under the Municipal Elections Act.
